How to make your own (sad substitue) Kindle

Supplies:
  • Empty DVD Box
  • Piece of cardboard
  • Scissors
  • Black Sharpie
  • Buttons
  • Sticky Tape
Step 1 - Gather the Supplies that you will need for the project.

Step 2 - Cut your cardboard to about the size of a Kindle Screen.

Step 3 - Use the Sharpie to design the screen the way you wish it to look.  Notice the smilie face on mine to show I am happy to have a Kindle (even if it is a sad substitute for the real thing).

Step 4 - Attach your Kindle Screen using the sticky tape.  Be careful to line it up straight as no one wants to use a crooked screen.

Step 5 - Use sticky tape to attach buttons below the screen.  Without buttons you won't be able to access all the cool features in your Kindle (like the "Look Crazy While Using It" feature or the "Makes a Great Paperweight" application)

Step 6 - Enjoy your new Kindle.  :)  See how easy that was!

Stop back soon to see how to make a carry case for your fake Kindle!

Don't worry - I haven't completely lost my mind.  This article was written for amusement purposes only so that I could participate in The Daily Bzz at BzzAgent  Want to know more about BzzAgent?  Let me know and I will happily hook you up with lots of great information!
